New favorite snacks

Last November when we went down to Utah for Ian & Ashley's wedding, at the reception they had these yummy little bite size deserts. They are square pretzels, with a rolo and pecan melted on top. We kept saying how we would make them sometime.. but of course we never ended up doing so. Well this past Monday was FHE and so everyone usually brings a little snack, so I figured why not make these. Plus we had to go to Costco to buy this other snack that we found we love.. Guacamole nachos. And of course you can only get them at Costco, so while we were there we bought bulk everything we needed. If you've never tried either of these.. I suggest you do because they are both super yummy !!

Installing new windows

Window #1

Window #2

For the last two Saturdays Bryan, Ranger Lee and Dad have been up at the shop cutting out for two new windows upstairs. And let me tell you.. it took forever... And it was scary to see the boys up on the scaffolding.. which didn't look very safe at all. And it was even more boring watching them doing it. Good thing its all done... minus the inside finishing part. The new office upstairs will be really bright now with three windows.

Canada Day

I know this is a little delayed getting these picture up, but I forgot I had them. On July 1st we all watched the parade and enjoyed getting the candy they were throwing. Afterwards we headed back to Mom and Dad's house for a big breakfast. It was nice being with everyone, and watching all the kids get so excited about the parade and the candy.

Taylor Swift !!!

Wednesday night we headed off to stampede to see Taylor Swift. We had a little bit of time before the concert so we walked around the stampede for a bit. And of course it started to rain.. so far all during stampede it's been raining off and on. So we met up with mom and auntie pat inside the round-up-centre.. . and looked around for a bit. They always have some really cool stuff and then LOTS of Nick-knacks. I saw a couple things that would be nice to have.. but of course everything is usually so expensive. I did get some "bump-its", they are always advertised on TV. You put them in your hair for volume.. or as some would call it to get the "Utah Girl Look" . So far I like them.... And it beats teasing my hair a bunch.
At the concert sadly we had really far away seats that were pretty high.. but at least I could see ! Kelly pickler and a new band called Gloriana, who were both really good :) Taylor Swift put on a great performance with lots of costume changes, some back up dancers, little skits. I'm so glad Bryan got me the tickets- So thanks Bryan :) And at the very end she had water rain on her stages as she stood under it a sang. I bet that felt nice after 2 hours of singing and dancing around.

Airdrie 2009 Rodeo

On Tuesday Bryan, Ranger Lee, Gabriela and I all went to the Airdrie Rodeo. I had never been and had really no clue what it was like.. well.. first off it was FREEZING cold. And so it was hard to even enjoy it. .. but it was pretty fun.. I was able to get a few good pictures. I wish I could have went down where all the professional photographers were taking pictures.. Then I wouldn't have all the bars in my way. We only stayed for a short while.. and didn't even see the bull riding. However lucky we left when we did since shortly after it started to rain. It would be nice to see the Stampede rodeo.. maybe some day :)

Sunday Dinner

This past Sunday we had everyone over for dinner at our house.. It was a little bit squishy but we managed. We made homemade drumsticks, rice, corn, salad. And for desert I made peanut butter fudge, and cup cakes. And mom brought some homemade potato buns, and banana bread. Dinner and desert were both really yummy.. and the drumsticks were a hit. After we all visited and then we played some rock band .. (which seems to be the game the kids ALWAYS want to play). It was a fun night !!

Reunion Chapel

This past Sunday was an exciting one for us. The new chapel was dedicated!! So 1st and 2ND ward met here for the dedication and poor 3rd ward had to watch the broadcast at the Main St chapel. Airdrie now has 3 wards and 1 branch. Luckily we stayed in 1st ward ( it's not so bad in 1st ward now that we have some friends), Clayton & Tasha, and Crystal are in the Luxstone Branch. And of course Mom and Dad stayed in 3rd ward. So now we get to walk across the street to church... and then the Luxstone branch also meets at this chapel.
The outside is ugly red brick.. but the inside is SO beautiful... especially up where the pulpit is. Too bad I can't take some pictures of it. Unfortunately the landscaping is not entirely done, but it still looks good.
