Grandma Ulrich's 75th Birthday

Last Sunday we went to Bryan's aunts house to celebrate his grandma's 75th birthday. We had a BBQ and chatted with everyone. It was pretty fun.. I think his whole family was there. It was nice seeing everyone get together. His grandma is such a sweet lady, always so happy and making sure everyone is ok. Happy Birthday Grandma Ulrich!

Airdrie's 100th Birthday

A couple weekends ago was Airdrie's 100th Birthday. So Airdrie had a bunch of little celebrations going on all weekend, including free breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Reunion chapel had an open house and some tour's going on with a free breakfast. We met up with Clayton, Tasha and the kids at Nose Creek Park. They had a bunch of activities, and stuff going on. Stryder and Blaze were both having soo much fun playing and running around. Pretty much we just looked around and walked around and then went home.

Mexico Diet!

So since we're going down to Mexico for Ranger Lee & Gabriela's wedding we decided to take a vacation afterwards since we're there already. We're super excited. Bryan has never been on a resort before and I've only been on one once. So we wanted to get into better shape for the beach. Soo .. that means working out ( we're trying to do p90x again and actually sticking with it) and of course eating healthier. And when you have never really shopped healthy conscious.. it's pretty hard. Everything I would pick up I would look to see how much fats it contained and the amount of calories.. ha ha by the end of the shopping trip Bryan was laughing at me for Always checking the back of boxes. We settled on a whole whack of fruit and veggies and healthy juices.. so we'll see how this goes. Anyways the whole point of this post was to show how full our fridge was.. not only how full it was of good healthy food but in general in the year we've lived here our we have NEVER been able to fill our fridge... until today :) I thought it was picture worthy... hopefully none of this food goes bad before we get to it.....

Last weekend we went camping with out ward. We went to a small campground just outside Cremona, it was an okay place, it's mostly for either big groups like us, or people who park their trailers and have decks, gardens and spend the whole summer there. We only went for the Friday night, and came back Saturday afternoon. It was nice to get to know some more people. Luckily their were two other young couples with no kids that we hang out with. For some reason even though we were only going for the night.. we seemed to have packed lots :( . It's impossible to pack light.. i don't know how people manage. We had a really fun time. However we almost didn't make it out there. After Bryan got home from work on Friday.. the car wouldn't turn off. So we called Saturn and they said it's the ignition cylinder and they wont be able to book us in till Monday. So in order for us to turn the car off, first we had to stall it.. then we had to pull out one of the fuses in the battery. Geesh am I ever glad that's not an everyday routine.

Botchi Ball at Grandma Ulrich House

A couple weekends ago we had a family get together at Bryan's Grandma's house. Every year their family's tradition is to play a huge game of botchi ball. Well three years ago I had no idea what this game is.. good thing its easy to catch on. It was nice to see everyone and hang out. After botchi ball we just hung out ate, and enjoyed the weather. Here are a couple pictures.. it's funny because some people get SO serious when playing this.. but it's all in good fun :)

Big Hill Springs Park

A couple weeks ago while Gabriela was up we all went to kananskis, to the lake to hang out, swim and have a picnic. Unfortunately it started to storm so we packed up and left.. good thing since as soon as we got in the vehicle is started pouring rain. So instead we drove to Big Hill Springs- had some lunch and then played in the water. By playing in the water I really mean Gabriela and I were literally in the waterfall. And let me tell you the water was sure cold. But it was funn.
