First Time Leaving Legacy :(

A couple Saturdays ago, we had a wedding to go to of Bryan's two high school friends. We were originally going to leave Legacy with his Grandma and Grandpa Ulrich for the ceremony and the reception. But decided to take him to the ceremony. I am so glad we did, he was sooo good. He was smiling the whole time they were reciting their vows. Plus he got to meet some people there, and then I didn't have to leave him for so long. But we did have to leave him for the reception. It was really hard to leave him and I felt pretty naked without him with me, but he was in good hands. And Bryan and I had a good time and even got to dance a bit. It was a really beautiful wedding for two wonderful people. We're so thankful we have so much family and good friends to rely on to watch Legacy when we need them. I'm hoping the next time I have to leave him will be easier, and I wont worry and miss him so much.

Legacy's First Swim

A couple weeks ago we bought Legacy a small blowup pool to put on the deck. We put Legacy in his swim gear and he laid in the water, cried in the water, drank his bottle in the water... and of course fell asleep in the water. We put warm water in, so he didn't seem to mind it. I think he still may be a little small to actually enjoy himself in there, maybe next year!

The week before I took Legacy to the splash park in Crossfield, he slept the whole time... but cried when the cold water splashed him, but enjoyed sleeping under the umbrella.

Baby Shower #2

On July 10Th Gabriela and Laurie (my mother in law) threw Legacy and I a baby shower for Bryan's Family. It was really fun, and Legacy got to meet some family he hadn't met yet (Great Auntie Val, Great Auntie Jan, Great Grandma Carlson), and some he already had (Great Grandma Ulrich, Shana & Tish). We played some games, chatted, ate some food (Gabriela made a beautiful teddy bear cake and yummy cupcakes), and open some presents. Thank you Gabriela and Laurie for doing such a great job, it was so nicely decorated and was just great!!
Pictures to come soon.

Update

Here are some pictures of Legacy from the last couple weeks. On July 20 Legacy had his 6 week check up ( Yess time flies.. it's crazy). He was 12.5 lbs, 22.8" and his head circumference was 38 cm. He is getting so big and is really alert and likes to move around, he holds his head up (which was has been doing pretty much since he was born), he is starting to talk some gibberish and make sounds (sooo cute), if he is on his belly he will scootch forward, and he smiles every once in a while. It seems everyday Legacy is even more adorable than the day before - I am so in Love with this little, and I could seriously watch him everyday.

Canada Day

It was Legacy's first Canada Day, so we decided to go to the parade. The parade was the same old same old, but with a super cute baby :) We got some Canada shirts for all of us.. unfortunately I couldn't find any matching ones.

New Deck!

A couple of weekends ago Bryan's dad came out bright and early to help us build our deck, Ranger Lee, and my dad also came over to help as well, and Gabriela came over and watched Legacy for us. The boys started building the deck while I started staining some of the untreated wood ( we had to do half treated and half not since treated only comes in 16ft length and we needed 20ft). After a bit Bryan's mom came out to help stain and so did my mom. Soon the neighbours came over and helped a bit. It was so nice we were getting offers all over the place to help, everyone was so nice. Later on Crystal and the kids came over too and we ordered pizza and visited. Over the next day and next weekend we got our deck all finished off minus the staining which I still have the railings to stain. It took a while to get done since we wanted diagonal floor boards, and totem didn't give us the correct amount of wood. It was a long haul building it.. but it's finally done -
