Update :) - October

Wow - it has been a Really Really long time since I posted anything. Oops.. I will give you a brief update at what we have been up too... since ALOT has happened in the last couple months. Even though it almost seems pointless writing about stuff from months ago - but for my own record i'm doing it anyway so I'll start with Oct.

* I had a chance to shoot my very first wedding for Liz & Sean Oct 10, 2010. It was an outdoor wedding and the weather was beautiful. And the beautiful happy couple were wonderful to work with - and I have to give Liz extra credit for being almost 9 months pregnant and she did such a great job- it was a super long day for me so I can't imagine how tired she must have been. But it was really amazing to be apart of such a wonderful occasion. I had a really fun time and hope to some day shoot more weddings.

*Grandpa Falk celebrated his 98Th birthday on Oct 8Th. Bryan and I had a chance to go down the Lethbridge to visit him. He was so adorable, and we were happy to get to visit with him and take a couple pictures. He seemed pretty excited that a bunch of us were there. Uncle Harvey even decorated his room with some balloons and streamers.

*Early October I had a chance to take some time and take some pictures of nature. Oddly enough on the side of the road. For weeks I would drive by a natural pond that glimmers in the sun, so finally I decided I would take my camera with me to capture a beautiful moment God's given us. In September and October the weather was really nice so Bryan and I had a chance to go on some nice walks outside :) Enjoying what little warmth and sun we had this year.

*Easton & Ireland had their annual sleepover earlier in October, and of course as tradition we made some Halloween cookies. Sadly I didn't get any pictures this time, but we had a fun time having them over... minus the fact that I had a really bad cold and I got just a small taste of motherhood - being sick and Still having to take care of kids :( Hopefully I'm blessed and this never happens again haha.. (wishful thinking I know)

*We carved pumpkins the week before Halloween with Jay & Erica - we did just one pumpkin since neither of us are very great at carving pumpkins.. and it turned out rather well. And of course we decorated for Halloween but I didn't take any pictures of that either.. it was a success though, our house looked spooky and fun. We stayed in for Halloween and handed out candy. Luckily we got a few kids - not many thought. And it's always fun seeing all the little kids dressed in their costumes :)

Fall

This is by far my favorite time of year!! The trees and bushes and all the colors are breath taking. Even the smell of fall is breath taking. I only wish this time of year would last longer, sadly the collection of leaves on the ground is getting bigger and bigger each day. I haven't had much time to go out and snap many shots of the beauty - but here are the few I have.

Shouldice Park Picnic

Easton found a little baby snake by the water..

This weekend we all got together for a picnic... surprisingly we didn't go to the usual Bowness park. But this park is pretty close to Bowness park, just on the other side actually, and it is just as beautiful on any ordinary day but even more so this time of year - Fall. We have lucked out with some beautiful weather this past week, so we took advantage. The picnic went great, had lots of fun and laughs. It was especially fun playing on the playground, the spinney thing was really hard to stay on and funny watching everyone try.

Easton's FIRST day of kindergarten

Easton started kindergarten a couple weeks ago, Bryan and I had a chance to go with Crystal to take him. He was excited and nervous all in one. But I think he will do great in school. He is such a lovable, playful, and smart little boy. We love you Easton -Good luck with school!
