May Long Weekend

Yup we had no place to put the condiments so we had to bring the kitchen stools out

This long weekend we didn't have a chance to go camping, and the weather was soo nice friday, saturday, sunday.. sadly monday wasn't soo nice. SO we decided to work on our front lawn a little bit.. We have two trees and we wanted to make sorta a 3 pod thinger with mulch all around it and nice rocks in one of the pods.. So we went to work on saturday. And finished just in time for a BBQ with Bryans family. Our yard looks good, and our BBQ was yummy and fun! Sunday we went to church and had planned on having a family picnic but everyone bailed out on us. So Bryan and I went over to mom and dad's house and had a fire in the backyard with Ranger Lee. It was wayy to hot for the fire, but it was fun.. we just have hot dogs/ smokies and roasted some marshmellows. Monday was a lazy day.. we mostly stayed in and hung out.. since it SNOWED !! Well what's a May long weekend without one day of snow. Thankfully it was just a bit of snow, then melted when it starting raining.

Monday night the missionaries, and Ranger Lee came over to help us lay sod in the backyard. The raking was the worst, the dirt was all full of rocks and took forever to rake... Thankfully laying the sod went really quick.. and there was no rain !

Laying Sod

Last weekend we started laying our sod in the front yard... At first the weather was pretty nice, we had just finished tilling the dirt and raking it all, and planting our two trees.. when... It started to rain.. of course. We had already started so we couldn't stop or else we'd have to rake all over again.. so we laid the sod in the rain. We ended up being covered in mud, wet, and cold. And sadly everywhere we stepped we take a foot full or mud leaving a dip.. so our front is a little lumpy. It was actually kinda fun though !

Stryder's Taekwondo

Mom and dad take Stryder every Saterday to Taekwondo class. He really enjoys it, and is so adorable in his little outfit. This saterday Bryan and I went to go watch him, he had no idea we were comming and when he saw us he was so excited.

Princess Saphire

So we've had Saphire for almost six weeks... and she refused to drink any water. And the vet said to NOT give her milk, and just keep trying to get her to drink some water. So I'd have to force a syringe of water in her mouth.. which didn't work to great. So then I would just dilute her soft food with tons of water, and that was the only way she was getting any water. Well on Friday we were watching a movie and my cup was on the coffee table about half full. Well little miss Saphire jumps up on the table.. sniffs around then starts drinking out of my cup. And she drank allot of it too... For some reason the expensive moving water fountain wasn't good enough, neither was the water dishes we always laid out for her. So now our kitty is cured of her fear of water. She now drinks out of her Kitty water fountain !

1 Year Anniversary

Picture I got Bryan

Sunday May 3rd was our 1st year anniversary... I can`t believe how quick a year went by. It feels like just days ago we just got married.. Makes me sad time is going by so quick, but happy when I think back on the adventures we`ve had in the past year we`ve been married..
A couple things we`ve done and been in the 1st year we`ve been married..
1) moved into our very first house &home
2) experienced Vancouver together for our honeymoon
2) went on a road trip to Utah & Las Vegas
3) got our very first pet together ( Saphire Rayne )
4) decorated our house for Halloween
5) spent our first Christmas together as a married couple.. including decorating our tree & house.. and opened stalkings & presents on Christmas morning
6) went grocery shopping together every time we need to go :) .. (i sure hope we always do this together its no fun shopping alone)

.........
For our anniversary we weren`t able to go away exactly on the day.. however we`ve been planning a trip to Italy in December as a 1yr anniversary present & Christmas 09`
So while we were at church I had a special helper ( mom ) come over and set up the table all cute, bring up the flowers and balloons I got Bryan. So when we came home for church there was a nice surprise waiting, while I made a yummy breakfast. We had pancakes with whip cream and berries, bacon, and omelets..
...........
About 1 hour later a delivery man dropped off a bouquet of white Calla Lily Flowers. They were so beautiful. And Bryan gave me some glass flowers he made while he was at school.. they are really neat ! We than watched `Marley & me` , `bride wars` both were really cute movies. For dinner we had steak, asparagus, Caesar salad, and Alfredo & cheese pasta. Then German Chocolate cake for desert. It was a nice and quiet anniversary.. quite the contrary to this time last year.
