Ethiopian Dinner!

While Gabriela was up we went on a double date with her and Ranger Lee.. we had heard about this Ethiopian food in town, and were curious to try it... so we did. It was rather different, but a neat experience. The menu was in both English and Ethiopian??.. but most of the spices and ingredients I had no clue.. so all four of us ordered a meat then it comes with a veggie.. and then it all comes on one huge platter and you all share, and you don't use utensils, they serve you this doughy bread thing that you dip into the food.. the dough was kinda sick.. tasted like baking soda and vinegar all in one.. yuck.. but some of the food was really good. It was really nerve racking being there since we were the only white ones, and so everyone was staring at us.. plus I was taking pictures SO i imagine that didn't help. After we went to see "17 Again" which was super cute and funny, and I'd defiantly recommend it ! Twas a really nice date !

Picnic at Bowness

Last Friday we went for a picnic at bowness park, we didn't want a huge fuss over food or anything so we just picked up some KFC and some pop. We quickly ate then the kids flew some kites ( or it was more the adults trying to get them to work ), and played at the park. The kids had alot of fun and so did I.

Bass Pro Shop

For months we would drive by the new Balzac mall and see the bass pro shop and think it must be open.. well it finally opened. So Bryan, Ranger Lee, Gabriela, and me went to take a look.. It was really cool inside, and I can see why it took so long to open. Everywhere was stuffed dead animals.. They had a shooting range.. which I really sucked at... and Gabriela kicked all our butts at. They had a really big area of hunting things.. including tonns of hunting clothes.. so Gabriela and I tried some on. It's a pretty neat store.. not to sure i'd ever buy anything there, other than camping things....

Picnic at Riley Park

A couple weekends ago Bryan, me, Ranger Lee, Crystal, and the kids went to Riley Park for a small picnic. It wasn't terribly warm out.. but the sun was shining a bit. The kids played at the park for a while, then we roasted hot dogs. .. we had a slight dilemma.. we had forgotten matches to light the BBQ.. so Crystal and I had to go around asking for lighters.. good thing there are so many smokers around.. or we wouldn't have eaten.

Easter Sunday

Some people think the Easter bunny only comes to children.... well they're wrong. The Easter Bunny came to our house and left some chocolates and eggs all over our house...

On Friday we went Bryan`s Parents house for Easter Dinner. I was in charge of desert, and decided to make something festive. So I made some Easter Bunnies, they turned out really cute, but took a long time to make since I did four of them. Here are a couple pictures...

Kitty Bath

On the weekend we decided it was time for Saphire to have a bath. She did really well, I thought she would freak out, but she just meowed for a little bit. She looked sooo tiny all wet, and really cuddles afterwards..

21st Birthday

On Sunday after conference we celebrated my birthday at my parents. We had ribs, Cesar salad, rice, baby potatoes, and carrots. It was all really yummy (thanks mom for making ribs even though you don't like them). After dinner I searched for my presents.. with no help from anyone but the kids.. Good thing they all saw where the presents were hidden, since they all told me exactly where a couple of them were. Ha Ha . I got so many great things.. a new camera lens (55-300mm), cable cord to watch our laptop on the t.v., the twilight movie, a bunch of scrap booking things, a purse, a really cute apron.. I really wasn't expecting so much. So thank you all again. Than we had my favorite cake . German chocolate cake YUM. It was nice just hanging out with the family, with little drama :) So my 21st birthday was really great :)
