Wheu that was a close one ..

Yesturday morning just at Bryan had left for work I was just going back to sleep.. when the phone rings at 5:45am.. in my head I knew it was going to be bad news (knowing the roads were really bad) and sure enough it was.. but not as bad as I had expected. I answer the phone and Bryan tells me to phone AMA.. cos he's in the ditch on the side of Deefoot Trail. Thank goodness he wasn't hurt and he didn't hit anything other than ALOT of snow. He had just got onto the highway from Airdrie and some truck came up behinde him cut in front of his going too fast and the guy started swearving all over, so Bryan avoided hitting him and the he did a donught and slide into the ditch ... luckily just clearing a speed sign pole by 2m. The sucky part was there was no way the car was moving it was right down in the ditch . I went and picked him up and called AMA.. they said it wouldnt be till Friday at the earliest.. and every where else was going to be forever.. So that night Bryan, Ranger Lee, Brent ( one of Dad's employee's), and I dug it out and by night time it was covered and frozed to the ground. We had to dig completly under the car since it was stuck there. The dig a path behinde it and than all the way up the hill.. But it worked ! We didnt have to spend money on a tow truck or wait forever for one.. Sadly I forgot to take pictures of just how much snow it was in..

Snow Storm !

Getting ready to go out into -37 weather to shovel

See how big it is..

Last Friday we got hit with a snow storm, with a bunch of snow, and Freezing cold weather. Previously we had only gotten a couple of inches the week before, but it had mostly all melted. But that first couple inches should have been a warning for Bryan and I to get some shovels.. since we didnt have any. But we didnt. So on Friday when we got a bunch of snow and it continued ALL weekend .. saturday afternoon we went out and baught them. Most the places had pretty slim pickins of shovels.. so we eneded up getting this huge one that you have to put your whole body into to move it. Good thing we got it cos this whole week has been really cold and really snowy. On sunday Bryan and I bundled up in our snow gear and shoveled the back parking pad and the front. Than we made some snow angels and played in the huge snowbanks. It was really fun.. it wasnt snowball snow or even snowman snow.. so we have to wait till the next snow for that. But this snow will be here a long while its just about up to my knees in most places ..

Easton and Ireland come over.

Easton Eating the Strawberries
Helping put the fruit on..

Rockin out w/ Uncle Bryan

Saturday night we babysat Easton and Ireland at our house. We had already planned to make fruit pizza when we had agreed to watch them. So We decieded to let them help make it.. little did we know that both of them LOVE fruit.. especially Easton. He ate almost half the strawberries... which was fine since it was the left overs. While we waited for the fruit pizza to be done they both played Rock Band with Bryan. Ireland really took a liking to the drums and played by herself for almost 20 minutes.. It was really cute. We had fun having them over. We played lots of Hide and Seek.. then settled down to watch Spiderman!

Home Made Wreefs

This is my Favorite one !

This one is sorta not that nice.. so it goes on the Far pillar...

In the beginning of November we had looked at Micheals for some things, and I had found these small plain wreefs that you make yourself with each little add in.. they weren't that expensive but I decieded I would wait and maybe do it next year instead. Well couple weeks later we had to run to Micheals again and I looked at them again and they all happen to be on sale.. so each add in was only .39 cents, and the wreefs were $4.00 so I decided I would get them. Well I made them and here's how they turned out ! It was fun making them.. but sparkles got EVERYWHERE.
We still havn't put them on our pillars .. so hopefully this week we'll do that...

First night in Utah
You know your in Provo.. or Utah when.. the Hotel night stand carries a BOM !!

Well as you can see i've been slacking, I never got around to putting up any pics from our Utah and Vegas trip. But it was super fun, we got to Utah on Nov 22 and spent the night there. Hung out with Brian and Liz, ( Brian was the missionay that baptized Bryan ). Sunday morning we decieded to drive the extra 6 hours to Vegas and see Jesse, Lindsey and Corbin. We're so glad we did, we had lots of fun. We hung out with them, went to see Santa ( which didn't turn out so well), did lots of shopping went and saw the Las Vegas Temple, and just enjoyed being there. Wed night we arrived back in Utah, went out to dinner with Ian and Ashley ( and also met Ashley for the first time). Thurday ( Thankgiving Day) we went and shot some shot guns with Ian, Ashley, and Ian's buddy. Twas fun, however I think i'll stick to smaller hand guns next time. We had Thanksgiving with Ian's wonderful family. They we all soo welcoming and nice. It was weird to see Thanksgiving such a big deal. So Bryan and I decided that this year we're going to make a huge deal over Canadian Thanksgiving! Friday we went to Temple Square, saw the Joseph Smith movie, hung out there for a bit, went to the Provo Temple, then had dinner with Ian and Ashleys family. Saturday was Ian and Ashleys wedding, it was super cute. We got to greet them at the Manti Temple after their Sealing. Then spent the rest of the day enjoying the wedding. Drove to Idaho Falls that night, spent the night.. went to the Idaho Falls Temple .. then drove on home. It was a nice get away.
Here are a couple pictures of the High lights !!

Meteor !!

On Thursday night Bryan and I were driving to my parents house around 5:30 pm so it was dark already. Then out of no where the sky just light up and then we saw this burst of fire come out of the sky and shoot down ward and then disappear. It looked like it landed just come by. We had no idea at that time what it was so we thought we'd drive to look for it. We couldn't so we left. Right when we got to my parents house my mom asked if we heard about the Meteor that hit just outside Airdrie. We then realized it was a Meteor that we saw. I guess the Meteor didn't really hit just outside Airdrie, because it was seen in Manitoba, Sask., and Southern Alberta. It was pretty cool to see. Here is the link to a video I got off You Tube...

Christmas Tree

On Friday Bryan and I went Christmas Tree and decoration shopping. We went to almost any store in Calgary that sold decorations and tree's... There was so many different trees to choose from, but ever since we got mom her white Christmas Tree i've always wanted one too. I don't know what it is about it, maybe it's because my eyes always focus on the white tree rather than any other artificial tree, but thats what I really wanted. However Bryan on the other hand didn't want a white one.. they now have Black Christmas Tree's (yuck i know) and so of course he wanted that one. But... luckily he gave in and got me the one I really wanted. However Bryan got to choose the colours... so our Christmas colours are Silver, Light Blue, and a Peutter colour. We set up our tree and decorated it the second we got home. It was really fun decorating our own tree. We still have to get a tree topper... and I think I need to wrap some boxes to put under it since it's soo bare. Here are some photos
