Halloween Decorating.

Its not fully done yet but here are some pictures

Monday evening we decided we should start Halloween Decorating. It was really fun figuring out how to decorate. We decided to go with the grave yard theme. With cob webs all over. Then once we have the fog machine set up... with the strobe light flashing. And we have a black light set on a white grave stone to light it up. It was kinda funny cos we were digging the grave stones into our yard since they are pretty light and might blow away.. So we had them done and noticed we needed two more. So after dinner we got more, which by that time was dark out. So there we were at night, with a shuvle digging in some head stones. Needless to say some of our neighbours may thing we're a little weird. But we are so excited to hand out candy in our own house. We hope we get lots of kids :)

Grandpa's 96th Brithday

Saturday morning we headed down to Lethbridge to celebrate Grandpa's 96th Birthday. We all went out for Chineese Food. Since that's Grandpa's favorite. Afterwards we headed back to Uncle Harvey and Auntie Wendy's for some pumpkin pie and ice cream. We had a fun time, Grandpa' enjoyed himself too. While we were there we found this pink rubber ball thing. And dad put it on his head first.. then the rest of the evening it was spent trying to get a picture with it on his head. Luckily Uncle Harvey willingly let us take pictures of him. It was really quite funny. Possibly a you had to be there moment.

Easton & Ireland come for a SLEEPOVER !!

On Friday we had both Easton & Ireland over for a sleepover. It was really fun having then over for the night. We picked them up about 5 o'clock and headed to superstore to grab some food colouring and sprinkles to make halloween cookies. After that we headed to Kimmers to grab a movie for them to watch while the cookies baked. Ireland got a princess movie.. which Easton didn't mind to much. Once we got home we started making the Sugar cookies, which they both helped measure and poor the ingridents in the bowl. After the dough was all ready I realized that I don't have a rolling pin.. So we filled a pop bottle with water and used that.. haha. The kids helps choose the icing colour and helped ice the cookies a little bit.. they were getting messy so Bryan and I iced them and the kids put all the sprinkles on them. They turned out really yummy and cute. We watched a bit of the Princess movie.. and then we watched some spiderman. Then it was bed time. Neither put up to much of a fuss.. they just wanted me to sleep on the single mattress we put beside our bed, so I had to squish inbetween them both while Bryan got the whole bed to himself. After they fell alseep I snuck away. Till Easton started to cry in his sleep we brought him into our bed. ( He sure is a bed hog) then Ireland woke up and I moved down to her bed and slept with her ( she is also a bed hog). Getting then both bathed, clothed, fed (including myself) and their toys cleaned up all before 8:30 was a little hard. Since Bryan had to leave early to help dad. I was solo getting them ready. So I guess I somewhat know what its like to be a mom for a night/ morning. All in all it was really fun. Bryan and I are excited to have them for more sleep overs now that we know we can handle it :)

Found a Bug!!

A couple months back I was heading into the office and I noticed this HUGE bug by my car. It was really big and I had never seen it around here. It looked like these big bugs we used to find while camping in Southern Alberta at Writing on Stone... and in B.C.. I didn't have a chance to get a good picture of it other than one on my phone. A couple hours later I went to see it and it had disapeared. Well.. on Thursday I was heading into the office again and I saw the same bug. This time I wasn't going to miss the chance of a picture. So I measured how long it was.. 3 1/2 " (sick hey) and I took plenty of pictures. Bryan really wanted to see this bug so I couldn't let it go.. so I got it into a box and kept it in the office. It was getting really loud scratching the box so I put it in the back room. I could still hear it so I put it outside (still in the box). I wasn't sure what it ate.. so I put a lady bug in there... felt bad for the lady bug and scouped it out. So needless to say I didn't feed it. .. And well the inevidable happened.. it Died :(

And thats my storey of the Bug.
