Rag Quilt

So before we were even pregnant I really wanted to make a rag quilt for the baby I really wanted. So I figured I have a couple months till the baby comes so I better start on this quilt, since I've never made a quilt or much else. A couple Saturday's ago Bryan and I met mom and Auntie Wendy at the Fabric store ( which was a complete zoo - since their was a big sale) and it was actually really hard to find fabric we liked, it was either too baby, cartoonie or girly. So we settled on Race Cars. I cut the fabric the first night, then the second night I sewed the squares together, the third night I sewed the blanket together, and the fourth night we did the fringing. The sewed parts are not the greatest, but I was pretty proud of my first quilt ever. And even if its not the best, it did have allot of love in it. And I'm excited to make more in the future now that I have the hang out it.

Great Falls Montana

In February just before Bryan's birthday, Mom, Bryan and I drove down to Great Falls Montana. We left on the Friday afternoon and spent the night in Lethbridge, then Saturday we drove to Great Falls, did a bunch of shopping, picked up our crib & dresser, bumbo and some other items, and drove back home on Sunday. It was a short-long trip, but it worked out great picking up our items we had ordered and we ended up saving a bunch of money, even with gas and the exchange rate. That Monday was a holiday so we spent the day putting together the crib & dresser, and setting up the room with the other things we already had. A few weeks later we picked up the shelving unit we wanted and set that up. Here are a couple pictures of what the room and furniture look like.

Crystal's 28th Birthday!

As you can see we only have certain numbers at mom & dads... haha

On March 8th Crystal turned 28, so on Sunday the 13th we had a family dinner, cake and watched Crystal hunt then open her presents. It was a fun time, especially watching Crystal and all the kids try to hunt for the presents. Over the years we've been using alot of the same hiding places.. but this year it seems we are all getting a little more creative... or mean for the birthday person and hiding them much better. Happy Birthday Crystal, we hope you had a great birthday and this year brings you all the best. We love You!

Bryan's 25th Birthday !!

Bryan turned 25 on Feb 25th, so as tradition we started off the week with a full week of small presents to celebrate.

Day 1 - we were driving down to Great Falls Montana, so he got his favorite goodies for the road.

Day 2- some new air fresheners, and car cleaning things.

Day 3- A coupon for a massage to recover from all that driving.

Day 4 - A blended root beer float after his long day of work... and especially since we didn't hit up Sonic when we were in Montana.

Day 5- New pair of pajama pants.

Day 6 -A bunch of coins for his car wash fund.

Day 7- Pedicure, manicure, and facial.

For his birthday dinner, I planned a surprise Birthday dinner with some friends at Bolero. It is a authentic Brazilian steak house. They bring you 17 different types of meat, and they have a hot bar and salad bar. It was really fun, and also very yummy.

On Sunday we had a family dinner, Bryan choose crock pot roast, baby potatoes, carrots, and double chocolate fudge ice cream cake. It was a quiet dinner, but also really fun. Bryan still had to search for his gifts - and even had some trouble finding a couple.

I hope you had a great 25th Birthday, and I know this year will be the best year yet, with our little baby boy making his appearance!
