Stampede 2010

Right before I almost died!!
Jay & Erica
165 Ft of scary ride..

The best & only shot with all our faces...
So close to Mariana's Trench.. and we got even closer too!
Look at this boys face.. So funny. Not sure if he was meaning to do this or what...

This is how far back we started.. and this is with my camera zoomed in all the way..

As if the little Michael Jackson wasn't bad enough...
Creepy. . .

Playing Bingo

Corn Dogs. . Yum Yum

What is summertime without at least one day of Stampede. Although it's always more or less the same every year, I still love it.. so I'll continue going. This year we headed down to the grounds on a windy, rainy, Monday evening with our good friends Jay & Erica Johnson. Although it actually didn't really rain on us other than the in consecutive spitting, it sure was dead there. The one thing I "used" to look forward to at Stampede was the crowds of strangers.. since their is always new and interesting people to chat with there.. but this year due to the weather it was unusually quiet and crowd less. Fine by me.. no waiting in line for Anything. We walked the grounds, vegged out on all the wonderfully greasy and delicious foods the Stampede has to offer. We played a game of bingo (not to sure if that counts as gambling.. hopefully not), but I did win at my first try, then we got to play a second free game :)

We watched Mariana's Trench play at the Coca Cola stage, and apparently that's where everyone was hiding, cos it was packed. And I still stand beside my theory of Never standing and waiting for hours at a all standing concert to be at the front. Because we made it from the Very back, all the way to about 6 people from the front through strategically weaving in and out of bodies every so often.

So those were the highlights of Stampede. .. but lets not forget the "low lights" of Stampede - Skyscraper ride. Yep as you all know just how terrified of heights I am, I was dragged against my will on this ride. And it was as awful as I make it sound. I was so terrified, I closed my eyes as tight as they would go, squeezed Bryan's hand, and held on for dear life.. Lets just say that was the first and most defiantly the Last I'll be going on that ride!
