BC Cabin/Camping July 2012

In the middle of July we went to the Shushwap Lake - Scotch Creek for a week. We rented a Cabin with Grandma Falk, Auntie Gabriela, Uncle Ranger Lee, Auntie Crystal, Easton and Ireland. It was Legacy's first time going to BC and driving in a car that long (about 6-7 hours). He did really good both on the drive there and back, he stopped a couple times to eat and stretch, we stopped at the Enchanted Forest which he enjoyed. The weather there was so HOT! unfortunately there had been some major floods so the beaches were washed out and as a result the water wasn't as nice having the shrubs and bushes underwater. But we were still able to find a tiny bit of sand and play in the water. Legacy was hit and miss with liking the water, sometimes he didn't mind it, other times he's rather just play on the shore. It was so nice getting away and enjoying some family time. We spent a day and drove into Salmon Arm and another city close by, we played mini golf at the family fun centre, went for ice cream many times, spent lots of time at the beach, had some camp fires, played baseball, had water fights, played in the sprinklers at the park and just had fun. We were happy we had a vacation, but it was also kinda nice to get home and sleep in our own bed where it wasn't so hot. We will definitely be coming back to BC to camp.
